Times use Singapore time (SGT). Checked means when sgviewer fetched a feed; observed is the latest reported radar frame or camera image. Individual features can be older. Select a marker or layer for its own timestamp and status.

Understand the road colours

Traffic colours estimate how much a road stretch has slowed compared with its usual faster-flowing speed. The reference is learned from previous LTA speed-band reports, with a road-type benchmark used while that history builds. Colours describe relative slowdown, rather than the number of vehicles. Grey roads have no reliable reference. An uncoloured stretch may be clear or may lack a usable report.

Look at the latest camera image

Select a traffic camera marker to open its latest still image and timestamp. At street-level zoom, visible cameras can also show small image previews directly on the map. These are periodically refreshed images, not video streams. Different cameras can have different observation times, so check the image timestamp rather than assuming every view was captured together.

Read incidents and closures in context

Warning markers identify reported accidents, breakdowns, roadworks and other incidents. Select one to read the source message. Short striped road sections can indicate a reported blockage, with approximate placement where the report does not supply a full closure geometry. The separate Event road closures layer currently covers scheduled F1 closures; it is not a complete register of all Singapore road closures.

Compare your journey with the map

Use Search to find a destination or open Directions to plan a journey. Selected road routes can show matching slowdown colours alongside their instructions. Those colours do not adjust the provider’s travel-time estimates. For buses, rail, aircraft and ships together, open the broader On the move preset. Source interruptions and delayed reports remain visible in the layer details.
